Lake Wales has a population of 14,225 people (2010 Census data). It is located 10 miles southeast of Winter Haven, approximately 15 miles east of Bartow, and 10 miles north of Frostproof. Lake Wales is located at the intersection of State Road 60 and U.S. Highway 27. It is the smaller city within Polk County but includes a diverse range of property types including residential properties, apartments, commercial, and industrial properties, as well as lakefront land, groves, pastures, and a variety of other agricultural land. S.R. 60 is a primary corridor that runs through the area in an east/west direction and U.S. 27 travels through the area in a north/south direction.
